Retail Therapy: The Forever 21 sale section

I just placed a Forever 21 online order today and was struck by how many cute things they've got on sale!  Here's some stuff that didn't make it into my cart but I wish it did.  Please note that these are from the Canadian site, and there is in my experience some difference from the American site in terms of selection and price.  Everything listed below can be found in the sale section or in fabulous finds.  As for what I did get?  Saving that for a future post!

Perforated Leather Gloves - $11.99 CAD
They're real leather!  And blue!  I've already got two pairs of leather gloves, and one pair has bows, so these were a pass for me.  They also come in a cognac colour.

Basket Weave Handbag  - 24.99 CAD
Basket weave accessories, particularly bags and clutches have been popping up all over the place.  I love the simplicity of this bag and the colour-- it looks almost black but is actually a dark brown.  I don't use different handbags too often, so I try not to buy many.

Metallic Details Belt - $6.99 CAD
I really like the shape of this belt and think it would just look fantastic on.  It could also toughen up some girlier pieces, and I don't have many 'tough' pieces in my wardrobe.  However, I didn't get this belt as I got two belts already, and I would have preferred that this belt's design go all the way around to the back, whereas it actually has a solid black stretch panel.

Braided Leatherette Belt - $5.99 CAD
Similar to the metallic details belt, I like the shape of this a lot.  I didn't get it for the same reason-- I would have preferred the design to go all the way around to the back, but it doesn't.

Sheer Lace Turtleneck (Taupe) - $16.99 CAD
I love the scalloped hem and the turtleneck neckline, as well as the colour, which I thought would look good with my skin tone.  The only reason this one didn't make it is its sold out in my size!

Polka Dot Skirt - $10.50 CAD
This looks like it could be a fun and versatile piece.  I'm not totally sold on if it will lay well, as it seems to be thin and might roll up or be finicky.  I've already got a black and white polka dot skirt, so this was a pass for me.

Metallic Knit Mini (Gold) - $14.50 CAD
This looks like a fantastically versatile skirt invoking the bodycon and bandage skirt/dress trends. I like the neutral colour and the little bit of sparkle. This was sold out in my size!

Sequined Bodice Dress - $16.50 CAD
This looks like a very cute dress also with the requisite sparkle. It looks clingy though, and I didn't like that the sequined part didn't go all the way around to the back. There are multiple colours which all look good!

Chiffon Maxi Skirt - $14.50 CAD
I love the colour and maxi skirts are continuing to be very on trend. This would have been a purchase more for my imaginary dream life in LA, and not for my current snow-filled reality. Also sold out in my size.

Wool Blend Cape w/ Leatherette Piping - $23.90 CAD
(Very similar also available in plus sizes as Leatherette Trim Fleece Poncho for $14.99 CAD!)
I really want a cape. This is a very cute cape. But not exactly the style I'm looking for, so I passed on this.

Beaded Satin Stretch Belt - $12.99 CAD
Super cute!  Available in plus sizes, but not available in my size!

Happy shopping!  I'm so very excited to receive my order. (:

  1. You have an exceptional and fabulous sense of fashion. So classy and chic..Everything here looks just perfect. I especially love the classic leather gloves which enhances the look. Sadly we don’t find many women here in india wearing these..

    1. Thank you! Sorry for the late reply, I have been having computer problems! I think India is changing quite rapidly though in many ways! I would love to hear about how fashion is progressing there (I only make it there about once every five years or so, and mostly to Punjab, which doesn't really change, haha!).
